The commercial character leans dining, and the restaurants draw people in from surrounding communities — a neighbourhood with a small pull beyond its own borders.

Close to downtown without feeling absorbed by it, Rosemont has a mixed-tenure quality — renters and owners sharing streets — that keeps it from feeling either too transient or too settled. It functions less like a destination neighbourhood than a practical, well-connected place to be, which for most people is exactly the point.
