The Calgary Tower marks the skyline, but day-to-day life here runs through the elevated walkway network threading between office towers, The CORE Shopping Centre, and its rooftop Devonian Gardens. For residents, it means reaching Sunterra for groceries without touching the sidewalk in January. Bow Valley College and the University of Lethbridge's downtown campus keep the streets mixed — students and office workers and lunch crowds moving through in overlapping shifts.

After the offices empty, the neighbourhood contracts but stays lit. The restaurant density means something's usually open, and performance nights at Arts Commons pull people back into the streets. The Calgary City Hall plaza is less a civic landmark than a daily cut-through — which is how you know people actually live here.
